The Slipping

„The slipping“ is kind of season 2 of the „Something is slipping“ series. Same actors, new script and a couple of new ideas to further deconstruct the topic. Order and Chaos are only separated by different probabilities. For the techies, the rectangles are now first created as objects and then a bit shuffled and shifted before being drawn to the screen.

Something is slipping

My working title for this series was „the dictatorship of the right angle“. Reason for this rather strange title was that I set myself the task to constrain the use of drawing commands and only use one single drawing command for this series – the rectangle. Like in engineering, constraints trigger creativity and I came up with many different approaches and more than 100 program versions . While taking this creative journey I was narrowing down on the theme of slipping, so a new title occurred to me – Something is slipping – a term you may have heard quite often recently. Here in Bavaria where I live, by coincidence or not, something has been slipping in a very bad way in the last couple of weeks.
